Fall Instructional
The 2012 MAA Fall Ball Program
Games will begin August 28 and run until about the 3rd week of October, weather permitting. Approximately 9-12 games are scheduled on Sunday afternoons for 3rd - 12th grade, and those age may play some Saturdays (Non Husker home game days) . The Select Division will have 9-12 games scheduled on Sundays. K/1st grade and 2nd Grade will have 6 games scheduled on Sundays.
Instructional clinics including softball skills of Sliding, Hitting, Bunting, Throwing, Pitching, and Fielding will be held, with dates and times TBA. Since the primary purpose of the Fall League is for instruction and player development, scores and league standings are not kept. Coaches may agree to special rules prior to each game. All games and clinics are held at the Westchester Park, Millard South and Anderson FIeld..
Registration for the 2012 Fall Ball registration will be held from June 1st to August 1st, 2012. Registrations received after August 1st are subject to a $25 late fee. Registration is done online, identical to the process for summer. Please keep your teams to 12 players so all kids are able to play as much as possible.
***League determination is based on the player's grade for upcoming school year (September 1, 2012)***
Grade divisions will be K/1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4/5th, 6/7th & 8/12th. Rules from the higher grade level will apply as stated in the spring rule book.
Plans are for the Fall 2012 season are to have two separate divisions, recreational and select. Please register for the Grade (Rec Division) or Age Group (10U, 12U, 14U) for Select teams that you will be playing in for Spring 2013.
Registration Fees of $50 - $80 per player, (depending on division, # of games, etc ) cover all fees including uniform. Discounts are provided for teams that use their own uniforms and equipment. Teams are available for all age groups. Teams and players from outside of the MAA program are encouraged to register for the Fall Ball program to join in the fun.
